Quick answer

Log in to the client area, open Services then My Services, click Manage on the service and use Log in to cPanel in the Actions list. Logging in directly uses the control panel address, username and password from your welcome email. Each panel has its own port: 2083 for cPanel, 2087 for Web Host Manager (WHM) and 8443 for Plesk.

Your hosting control panel gives you access to manage your domains and email accounts, as well as your databases and files. You can log in through the client area for quick access or use the direct login URL from your welcome email.

This guide covers both methods for cPanel and WHM, as well as Plesk.

Before you begin

  • You need an active hosting account with cPanel, WHM or Plesk access.
  • Keep your welcome email handy if logging in directly.

Log in through the client area

The client area gives you one-click access to your control panel.

  1. Log in to the client area. Go to unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk/client/login, or click LOGIN at the top right of the homepage. Enter your Email Address and Password, then click LOGIN.
  2. Open your services. Click Services in the top bar, then select My Services.
  3. Select your hosting package. Click Manage next to the service you want to open.
  4. Click the login action. On the Overview tab, click Log in to cPanel in the Actions list. On reseller and agency plans, Log in to WHM sits in the same list. For Plesk accounts, use the Plesk login in that list.

If the login button does not work, the password was probably changed inside cPanel. The client area does not pick up a password changed there, so the button keeps using the old one. Contact our support team to sync your credentials, or use the direct login method below.

Log in directly using your welcome email

Your welcome email contains the address of your control panel and the username and password to use with it. This method works independently of the client area and provides access through your server hostname or domain.

  1. Locate your welcome email. Search your inbox for an email from Unlimited Web Hosting. On reseller and agency plans it is titled Reseller Account Information.
  2. Identify your control panel URL. The URL format depends on which control panel you are using. For cPanel, the URL ends with :2083. For WHM, it ends with :2087. For Plesk, it ends with :8443.
  3. Open the login page. Copy the URL from your welcome email and paste it into your browser. You will see the login screen for your control panel.
  4. Enter your credentials. Type your username and password from the welcome email into the login form.
  5. Click the login button. You will be taken to your control panel dashboard.

On reseller and agency plans, the Reseller Account Information email gives your WHM username and password, plus the control panel URL, which takes the form https://<server hostname>:2087. Below those it lists the server name and IP address, followed by the nameservers and the FTP details.

Once your domain propagates, you can access your control panel through your domain name instead of the server hostname. Propagation can take up to 48 hours, as the welcome email says.

Where to go next

Once you are logged in, you can add additional domains to your account.

If you cannot log in either way, get in touch with the service and the control panel you were trying to open.
